Have you just taken over an established garden and now want to know what the plants are and how to take care of them? We can come and identify all your garden plants. We can show you how to trim, prune, divide, move and give any other special care they need. Have you just bought a new garden and are faced with a swathe of newly laid turf or a thin layer of top soil tipped over building site rubble? Are you at a loss to know where to begin? We can help you decide which plants will thrive and whether your old favourites will suceed or turn brown and crispy in your new garden. We will also help you with the ground preparation, design and planting. A garden only really becomes your own garden as you add to it, change it and then enjoy it. We
can help you to choose plants which suit the situation, and the soil,
and most important of all, suit you.
This small front garden (far left) faces south, has no soil but needs to provide a welcoming entrance to the bed and breakfast. Sunloving climbing plants, combined with hardy evergreen shrubs which naturally grow in dry and stony conditions did the trick (near left). In a year's time it will be brilliant. |

It
is important to get the hard landscaping right to create the atmosphere
you want. Here, a pond designed for koi carp was very uninteresting
(far left). Removing excess rocks and adding the right plants
converted this area from a rock pile to a quiet corner for pond
watching with a cup of coffee or a glass of beer. (near left)
